Ellis Howe is a beautiful detached 18th century cottage set in its own enclosed garden with superb views of Coniston Old Man and the surrounding fields which are owned by the National Trust.

Ellis Howe enjoys VisitBritain 4 star rating and is equipped to a high standard. It can be a cosy romantic retreat or an excellent base for touring the Lake District.

The cottage is comfortably furnished for five and retains many of the original features including flagged floors and fireplaces.

A feature of the house is the conservatory/ dining room ,with oak flooring and an attractive gallery ,which allows you to dine in comfort whilst enjoying glorious views of Coniston Old Man and the surrounding fells.

Coniston Water is a short distance from the cottage through woodlands over Torver Common. There are many other walks and climbs in the immediate area.
